Job summary

Avery Healthcare in Somerset is seeking a warm, dedicated Registered Nurse - Nights to join Poets Mews Care Home. You will act as person in charge when required and ensure high standards of care for our residents, delivering compassionate support in a busy night shift environment.

The ideal candidate holds a First Level qualification, current NMC registration, and at least two years’ care experience with post-basic studies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a First Level nursing qualification and current NMC registration.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in care with post-basic studies/qualifications.
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
• Strong knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking nursing tasks including medication distribution and wound care.
• Observe and follow instructions, act as person in charge when needed.
• Supervise care staff to ensure timely, high-quality resident care.
• Communicate clearly with residents’ families and GPs about changes.
