Arriva TrainCare is seeking a Shift Fitter (nights) for Eastleigh Train Depot. The role involves efficiently maintaining and overhauling rail vehicles to standard procedures, interfacing with IT platforms, and identifying safety risks.

You may cover team leader duties and support as required, ensuring a clean, compliant work area. Key duties include working to timescales, operating rail vehicles within depot limits, signing off worksheets, and attending safety/quality briefings.

Formación

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering - Rail Traction & Rolling Stock preferred
• BTEC Engineering or City & Guilds in Engineering
• Good standard of education
• Understand health, safety and environmental standards and requirements

Responsabilidades

• Carry out work as allocated by the Team Leader & management within set timescales and to recognised standards
• Operate (drive) rail vehicles as required within depot limits
• Adhere to safety procedures and documents per VMI & local instructions
• Ensure worksheets are signed off on completion of work
• Attend technical, quality, safety and general briefings
• Undertake Safety Critical Work Regulations assessments with guidance of Team Leader
