Job summary

Manucomm Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking an ambitious Assistant Production Team Leader to manage a small night shift team within a growing food manufacturing operation.

You will deputise for the Night Shift Team Leader, drive output, quality and safety, and collaborate with Engineering to resolve machine issues. This role offers progression toward running your own team and occasional cover for other leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.
• Previous experience supervising or leading people.
• Ambitious and keen to progress into a Team Leader role.
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills.
• Engineering/mechanical/technical experience would be a strong advantage.
• FLT trained bendy or counter balance
• Able to reliably commute to our Bristol site for 10pm starts and 6am finishes.

Responsibilities

• Support and deputise for the Night Shift Team Leader.
• Lead and motivate the production team to achieve output, quality and safety standards.
• Provide Team Leader cover during holidays and absence.
• Work closely with Engineering to resolve machinery and production issues.
• Assist with basic fault-finding and problem-solving.
• Maintain food safety, quality, health & safety and housekeeping standards.
• Support training, development and continuous improvement.
