Job summary

PROPER SNACKS is seeking a Shift Manager for the Nuneaton site on the night shift (2pm–10pm). You will lead the Movers & Makers, drive safety, quality and delivery targets, and develop your team to meet daily production goals.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will champion continuous improvement using Redzone data, coach individuals and cohorts, and balance performance with a positive workplace culture across a fast-paced operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate and develop a team of Movers & Makers, creating a culture of Safety, Quality & Delivery.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to plan, budget, quality and safety standards.
• Drive a culture of improvement and ensure variances to plan are investigated and improvements implemented.
• Work with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Recruit, onboard and train new hires to thrive in their roles.
• Champion growth and development of each team member through coaching and training.
• Provide ongoing feedback to clarify performance expectations and address issues.
• Adapt plans to changing business needs while promoting health, safety and wellbeing.
• Promote effective use of Redzone and conduct regular huddles to drive performance.
