Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting an experienced Plumber for a night-shift role at a prestigious Canary Wharf site. You will join the onsite engineering team to carry out plumbing maintenance, reactive repairs and related mechanical works, ensuring services stay safe and fully operational.

The role covers fault-finding, reactive tasks and some PPM support, with autonomy during night hours and collaboration with the wider facilities team to uphold high service standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent in Plumbing/Mechanical Services.
• FM/commercial building services experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• CSCS or related trade cards where applicable.
• Ability to work confidently on night shifts with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with handheld devices to log and close jobs.
• Good communication with clients, colleagues and contractors.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and related mechanical works.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise disruption.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly.
• Support planned maintenance activities as required.
• Carry out minor installation works on building services assets.
• Identify defects and escalate where needed.
• Ensure work adheres to safety procedures and site rules.
• Complete job records using electronic handheld devices.
• Monitor contractor work and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to maintain high site standards.
• Provide a professional, client-focused service at all times.
