Job summary

Marie Curie is inviting applications for a Community Healthcare Assistant in Dudley. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering personalised end-of-life care in patients’ homes, assisting with daily living tasks and comfort measures while observing patients and communicating with families.

Role requires empathy, reliability, and ability to work nights on a 10:00 PM–7:00 AM shift pattern; pay is £12.92 per hour with enhancements for nights, weekends and holidays, and mileage

Qualifications

• Experience in health or social care with dignity and respect.
• Understanding of person-centred and end-of-life care.
• Ability to escalate concerns to clinical team.
• Experience with care recording systems

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, mobility, rest and sleep, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Observe changes in condition and support symptom management as per care plan.
• Escalate concerns promptly to registered professionals.
• Provide calm, sensitive, professional communication to patients and families
