Job summary

Greencore Group in Consett is recruiting a Night Shift Packing Operator on a Monday to Friday schedule, 23:00 to 07:00. You will operate packing lines, perform quality checks and prepare finished products for despatch.

Full training provided; you should have good literacy/numeracy, problem solving, teamwork and allergen awareness. The role offers a competitive rate of £14.78 per hour and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a food manufacturer preferred.
• Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Good communicator and ability to work in a team.
• Allergen awareness.
• L2 Food Safety is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating the machines in line with related safety and quality procedures.
• Regular checking on labels, coding and packaging to ensure all products are packed to customer specification.
• Assess and report anomalies and issues.
• Putting sleeves onto finished ready meals.
• Quality checking final products, ensuring high quality and correct branding.
• Preparing pallets for Despatch.
