Job summary

Bira Care Homes is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join our Cefn Lodge team on a full-time, night-shift basis. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, manage medications, and lead on shift with a focus on patient-centred plans and regulatory standards.

The role requires active NMC registration, experience in care settings, and the ability to lead and communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues. Wales-specific registration and DBS are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with active registration.
• Experience in a care home or similar setting.
• Confidence in managing medications and clinical needs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• DBS check, right to work in the UK, and Social Care Wales registration (for nurses in Wales).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care tailored to individual needs, including complex care.
• Lead on person-centred care planning and reviews with residents, families, and external professionals.
• Administer and record medications accurately in line with policy.
• Lead and delegate on shift, participate in handovers and multidisciplinary reviews.
• Maintain documentation and support audits and quality checks for safety.
