Job summary

Ornua Co-operative Limited is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering department, delivering planned maintenance and urgent repairs to production equipment. You will support safety, quality, and reliability across shifts.

The role emphasises hands-on maintenance, collaboration with production teams, and adherence to SOPs. A Level 3 Eng/Maint qualification and food industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical & mechanical skill set required.
• Experience in engineering/maintenance in food production.
• Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance on machinery per plan.
• Report deficiencies to Engineering Manager.
• Assist & train operators to reduce downtime.
• Ensure SOPs are followed and safety procedures observed.
• Attend breakdowns and repair promptly.
