Job summary

Arnold Clark Wolverhampton Motorstore is seeking a Nightshift Technician to support our prep centre and ensure vehicles are road-ready. You will work the night shift, gaining exposure to a wide range of models and cutting-edge vehicle technology.

We provide EV accreditation training, generous leave, private healthcare and opportunities to review salary annually. The role offers a £45,000 salary with performance-based bonuses up to £9,000 every three years, plus overtime paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and solid automotive experience.
• Ability to work competently on your own or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues with diagnostic equipment.
• Repair/replace defective parts and resolve defects.
• Carry out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road test vehicles to check repairs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
