The Night Shift Manager role for Cytiva is responsible for leading, directing, and controlling the operations of a plant/facility to achieve the short and medium-term financial and operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan. The Night Shift Manager will be responsible for any of the following activities: manufacturing, materials/planning, quality control, supply chain and logistics, shipping/receiving, distribution, and facilities management. Typically, will have responsibility for multiple activities.

This position is part of the Operations Team located in Newquay and will be based fully on site. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Stringently enforce Cytiva’s Health and Safety and Environmental policy.

• Co-ordinate the company’s Emergency procedures outside of core hours.

• Be a point of escalation in the event of quality or technical issues outside core hours to support the team to drive effective resolution.

• Support the teams in effective and structured problem solving, to drive to root cause and implement effective countermeasures with urgency. Where necessary, follow the escalation process.

• Responsible for supporting Team Leaders to achieve their shift delivery targets.

• Ensure that employees are consistently following Cytiva’s policies and procedures.

• Support DBS culture through leading and participating in continuous improvement events.

Who you are:

• Enthusiastic leader with experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

• DBS / Continuous improvement mindset.

• Effective communicator at all levels.

• Possesses experience in motivating and growing teams.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Previous experience working in a medical or pharmaceutical facility.

• If you have or are willing to work towards a NEBOSH certificate.
