Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK, formerly Hanson UK, invites applications for a Night Shift Maintenance Supervisor at Whatley Quarry, Somerset. You will lead a high-performing maintenance team, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability and plant availability.

You will work closely with production, contractors and management, making key decisions to drive site performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a maintenance engineering environment.
• Proven mechanical and electrical engineering capability with leadership responsibility.
• Strong health and safety understanding and commitment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all maintenance activities during the night shift.
• Ensure safe systems of work, permits and risk assessments are followed.
• Coordinate engineering and maintenance contractors on site.
• Support and develop the on-site TPM team.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and 5S methodologies.
• Maximise plant availability and improve OEE.
• Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR through effective planning.
