Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Nights) for our Rushden site in Northamptonshire. You will perform day-to-day engineering, maintenance and fault-finding across the site to minimise downtime, improve OEE and uphold safety and quality standards.

You will diagnose faults, repair electrical and mechanical systems, and support TPM and preventative maintenance initiatives. A recognised engineering qualification and PLC/HMI experience are desirable for this role.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualification is required (City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ, etc).
• Electrical installation experience (17th/18th Edition desirable).
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics and hydraulics is preferred.
• Ability to read electrical engineering drawings is essential.
• Background in a manufacturing/production environment is advantageous (blow/injection moulding).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support TPM and planned preventative maintenance routines.
• Reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Manage engineering parts, materials, and stock control.
• Complete safety checks and ensure safe working practices.
