Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Night Shift Engineer for a commercial campus near Barbican. The role requires a mechanically qualified professional with a proven track record in building maintenance.

You will work on M&E systems, lighting, AHU/FCU units, water treatment, plumbing, and BMS monitoring, with on-site sub-contractor coordination. The position is permanent with a salary around £52,000 per year including shift allowance, plus excellent benefits based on experience and

Qualifications

• Mechanically qualified with City & Guilds Level 3.
• Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Multiskilled across M&E trades.
• Clear communication skills for client liaison.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of M&E maintenance.
• Lighting: installation, fault-finding, lamping, ballasts, control panels.
• Emergency lighting tests and upkeep.
• Air Conditioning: AHU/Fan Coil maintenance and filter changes.
• Water Treatment: temperature checks and dosing control.
• Plumbing: unblock toilets and minor fixes.
• BMS monitoring: monitor and report readings.
• Escort and organise sub-contractors as needed.
• Attend client meetings when required.
• Keep site log books accurate and up to date.
