Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Senior Health Care Assistant for night shifts at Wheldale Heights in Castleford. You will work with the Nurse in Charge to lead a small care team, delivering high-quality care to residents with complex needs.

The role requires a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, GCSEs in Maths and English, and a proactive, compassionate approach. We offer supportive supervision, career progression, and a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or functional skills equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care.
• Assist residents at meal times.
• Understand individual health and wellbeing needs.
• Encourage participation in social activities inside and outside the home.
• Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect.
