Job summary

Randox, a world leader in diagnostics, seeks Laboratory Assistants for night shifts at our London Great Portland Street site. You will support routine clinical testing, manage samples and ensure quality control, with vaccination and right-to-work requirements in place.

The role demands evening availability and transport access to the site. Responsibilities include LIMS use, sample receipt and analysis, handling EQA schemes, and maintaining stock control while adhering to custody procedures.

Qualifications

• Qualified to at least A level or equivalent in a science subject.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or life science.
• Available to work the evening hours mentioned above.
• Access to own transport to cover the shift time/location of our site.
• Ability to work as a team member of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine clinical testing in the laboratory.
• Use the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for data entry and sample accession.
• Receipt, accession, analysis, storage and disposal of samples.
• Maintain sample inventory and stock control in the laboratory.
• Adhere to chain of custody procedures throughout the analytical process.
• Operate and maintain analysers (SYSMEX XS-1000i Haematology, Urinalysis and ESR).
• Maintain documentation for External Quality Control (EQA) schemes and quality records.
