Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Assistant in London (Acton/West London) on a 4 on 4 off night shift. The role focuses on supporting engineers, dismantling and reassembling machinery for servicing, and preparing equipment for planned maintenance.

You will work in a modern manufacturing environment with opportunities to develop hands-on engineering skills and work as part of a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Good practical/mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic tools.
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble machinery for servicing.
• Willingness to learn and develop engineering skills.
• Strong health and safety understanding around machinery.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance engineers with day-to-day activities.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery for servicing and maintenance.
• Prepare equipment for planned maintenance activities.
• Carry out basic mechanical maintenance and adjustments.
• Work safely around industrial machinery and keep areas organized.
