Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment Ltd in Leyland is seeking an HGV Workshop Supervisor to lead the permanent night shift. You will manage the workshop team, allocate workloads, and perform hands-on servicing, maintenance and inspections on HGVs, ensuring repairs are completed to high standards and vehicles are roadworthy.

The role is night-shift based (Sunday night to Thursday night), with hours 9pm-6am or 6pm-3am, and 45 hours per week.

Qualifications

• HGV Technician with leadership exposure preferred.
• Experience in servicing, repairs and fault-finding on HGVs.
• Able to organise workloads and prioritise repairs for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the workshop team during the night shift
• Allocate workloads and prioritise repairs
• Carry out hands-on servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose mechanical/electrical/hydraulic faults
• Ensure vehicles are repaired and ready for operation
• Maintain accurate service records
• Adhere to health & safety and workshop standards
