Job summary

Polar Speed Distribution Ltd, a UPS company, invites applications for a Night HGV Class 1 Driver role based at Normanton, WF6 1QT. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 40 hours, with shifts from 18:00 to 03:30, earning £40,469 per year plus a night allowance (£3,835) totaling £44,304.

Responsibilities include delivering pharmaceutical consignments to GP surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers, maintaining temperature control, and completing EPOD paperwork with careful loading and safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years driving experience.
• Driver CPC qualification valid.
• Class 1 (C&E) licence with ideally ≤6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out collections and deliveries to GP surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers.
• Maintain temperature control on the vehicle.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks and ensure EPOD/documentation is accurate.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional conduct.
• Report defects and delays to line manager.
