Job summary

Polar Speed Distribution Limited, a UPS company in Birmingham, seeks a Class 2 Delivery Driver. You will make multi-drop deliveries to GP surgeries, pharmacies and hospitals, ensuring correct temperature control and accurate paperwork.

40 hours weekly, Mon-Fri with early start times, and potential shifts requiring flexibility for urgent medical deliveries. Benefits include a company pension, UPS Perks At Work, and 28 days holiday (rising to 33).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years driving experience.
• CPC qualification valid and in date.
• Class 2 (C) driving licence with preferably ≤6 points.
• Excellent organisation, communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle.
• Ensure safe and secure loading of all consignments.
• Assist with loading/unloading using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain correct vehicle temperature at all times.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks including refrigeration unit.
• Deliver to GP surgeries, pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers.
• Communicate delays or delivery failures to line manager promptly.
• Complete EPOD/docs and driver manifest accurately.
