Job summary

Polar Speed Distribution Ltd (UPS) sucht einen HGV-Fahrer (Nacht), um lebenswichtige pharmazeutische Lieferungen an GP-Praxen, Apotheken und Krankenhäuser zu transportieren. Die Stelle umfasst Nacht- und Frühschicht, 40 Stunden pro Woche, mit flexibler Bereitschaft zu Mehrarbeit zur Sicherstellung der Liefertermine.

Sie arbeiten basierend in Normanton, erfüllen alle GMP/IGV-Anforderungen, verfügen über CPC und Klasse-1-Führerschein, und pflegen exzellenten Kundenservice mit sicherer Fahrweise.

Qualifications

• Mindestens 2 Jahre Fahrerfahrung im HGV-Bereich.
• Die CPC-Qualifikation muss aktuell gültig sein.
• Gültige Klasse 1 (C&E) Führerschein, idealerweise mit max. 6 Punkten.
• Ausgezeichnete Organisationsfähigkeiten und Planungstalent.
• Teamplayer-Mentalität und kundenorientierter Service.
• Flexibilität bei Arbeitszeiten und Bereitschaft zu Nachtfahrten.

Responsibilities

• Paket-/Palette-Scannen und Beladung des Fahrzeugs.
• Sichere Beladung und Entladung der Lieferungen.
• Aufrechterhaltung der Temperaturkontrolle im Fahrzeug.
• Durchführung von Fahrzeug- und Kühlungssystemprüfungen.
• Meldung von Defekten gemäß Prozeduren.
• Dokumentation von EPOD/Manifesten und Kommunikation mit dem Line Manager.

The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. As a delivery and collection driver, you’ll make collections and deliveries to GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, wholesalers and hospitals. You will also be required to make deliveries to patients and on occasion assist them with the rotation and return of stock items, for this we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate excellent levels of customer service. As a delivery driver you’ll work a minimum of 40 hours per week and must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature.As a delivery and collection driver you may expect to work on average 40-48 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle when applicable.Ensuring the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle using the appropriate equipment.Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries using the appropriate equipment.Ensuring the vehicle is always kept at the correct temperature.Conducting vehicle safety checks as outlined in documentation providing including the refrigeration unit on the vehicle.Maintaining the cleanliness of both cab and chambers.Reporting all defects as per the defect reporting process.Adherence to all legislation governing HGV driving in the UK & IRL.Ensuring the drivers card is downloaded upon completion of each shift.Always demonstrating a professional and safe driving competency.Always be smart and presentable.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Delivering and collecting pharmaceutical consignments to addresses including GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals and Wholesalers.Communicating all operational delays or delivery/failures to the line manager as soon as possible.Correct completion of EPOD/driver manifest/collection/refusal paperwork.Driving as per your planned schedule.Additional tasks may be requested by the Line Manager appropriate to the skills and responsibilities of a Class 1 driver.
