Job summary

Great Bear is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the Banbury team, supporting deliveries for key customers. This permanent, full-time role operates on a 24/7 basis, delivering palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide.

Candidates should have a valid C+E licence, 6+ months of Class 1 experience, and knowledge of tachographs and Working Time Directive. Night shifts offer enhanced rates and a 5 on/2 off rota.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DD or DR convictions.
• Current valid DCPC and Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver’s Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries as backdoor tip.
• Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start.
• Complete paperwork and ensure PODs are signed and returned.
