Aligra is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for afternoon/night shifts based in Reading, delivering and collecting parcels across regional hubs. You will work on long-distance routes, ensuring timely deliveries with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a driving role.
• Ability to work night shifts consistently and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently on scheduled night-time routes.
• Follow detailed routing and scheduling to ensure timely parcel delivery and collection between hubs.
• Manage loading, securing, and occasional unloading of freight including pallets, cages, and containers.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and complete defect reports as required.
• Handle shipment paperwork, scan consignments accurately, and maintain communication with dispatch teams.
