Job summary

Fowler Welch in Bristol is seeking professional HGV Class 1 Drivers for permanent night shifts, delivering to retail customers nationwide. You will cover RDC, farms and packhouse deliveries, ensuring safe driving and high service standards.

The role expects reliable, customer-focused drivers with a strong work ethic and a pride in precision and safety. Training and progression opportunities are available within a supportive transport team.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and current DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Understanding of Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills and on-site safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of transport department operations.
• Manage working time in line with regulations.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Sign and return PODs after delivery.
• Achieve fuel efficiency targets.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required.
