Job summary

Stobart (Part of the Culina Group) is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers for the Carlisle depot to support General Haulage across RDCs, distribution centres and retail stores. You will focus on safe driving, customer service, and high operational standards.

Responsibilities include delivering to stores, collecting loads, occasional loading/unloading, vehicle checks, and ensuring Driver’s Hours compliance within the Transport Team.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and current DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understanding of Driver’s Hours, WTD and tachograph legislation.
• Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Delivering goods to RDCs, distribution centres and retail stores.
• Collecting loads from stores for onward delivery to factories and distribution centres.
• Assist with loading/unloading of cages when required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete documentation.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and professionalism.
• Coordinate with Transport Team to ensure efficient fleet operation.
