Job summary

HG Recruitment in the UK is seeking professional Class 1 Drivers for a mix of store deliveries and long-distance trunking, with regular ongoing work and a minimum of 10 hours' pay guaranteed per shift. Nights trunking to Scotland are available, with deliveries within set windows and a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, reporting defects, and providing a professional service to customers, while following company procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / LGV C+E licence.
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Digital Tachograph Card and Driver CPC required.
• Max 6 points for minor endorsements.
• Knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Good national geographical knowledge.
• Flexible shift times where available.
• Driver portal and payslips access desirable.
• 24/7 manned support available.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries and long-distance trunking.
• Nights trunking to Scotland.
• Deliver within agreed delivery windows.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects.
• Work safely and follow procedures.
• Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.
