Job summary

Great Bear (Part of the Culina Group) is seeking a Transport operative to support night shifts at the Oldham site, focusing on route optimisation, driver-hours compliance and accurate documentation. You will work with the transport team to ensure secure loading and timely deliveries.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate with overtime and weekend enhancements, plus a benefits package including pension, life assurance, eye care and wellness support.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Flexible and methodical approach to start/end times and training.

Responsibilities

• Optimising routes and adherence to WTD and drivers’ hours legislation.
• Controlling equipment and sign in/out procedures for legal compliance.
• Ensuring pallets/loads are secured with load straps.
• Communicating with Transport team and other depots.
• Ensuring deliveries/collections meet windows with proper paperwork uploaded.
