Job summary

Great Bear, part of Culina Group, is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for Skelmersdale. You will perform safe deliveries to customer premises, handle palletised haulage to Regional Distribution Centres, and support occasional multi-drop or tipping tasks.

Night shifts may be required, with 4 on 4 off pattern. Applicants must have a valid HGV Class 1 licence, up to 6 points, and DCPC/Tachograph cards, plus strong customer-service standards and a good understanding of Driver Hours

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred; we cannot accept new pass drivers.
• No more than 6 points on licence with no DD/DR convictions.
• Current valid DCPC and Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres; backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries as needed.
• Occasional night out may be required.
• Report delays or load discrepancies to Transport team at shift start.
