Job summary

Grenville Engineering (Stoke-on-Trent) Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder for the night shift at our busy Stoke-on-Trent facility. The role involves bespoke fabrication, jig work, and reading engineering drawings to meet tight production targets.

The position operates Monday to Thursday, 4:00pm–4:00am, with Friday–Sunday off. Training is provided on day shift before moving to nights, and probation is six months. Excellent night‑shift pay and discretionary bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years’ MIG welding experience on mild steel up to 12mm thick.
• Ability to read and work accurately from engineering drawings.
• Accurate measuring skills and ability to work to specified tolerances.
• Ability to complete fabrication work from start to finish.
• Ability to work to deadlines and production targets.
• Competence using hand tools and air tools.
• Keep accurate and tidy production paperwork.
• Flexible approach to other production duties including grinding, shearing and machining.
• TIG welding experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate weld bespoke parts from start to finish on varied projects.
• Carry out volume jig work for longer production runs.
• Read engineering drawings and maintain quality standards.
• Meet deadlines and production targets.
• Complete documentation for production work.
