Job summary

Whitman Laboratories in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Technical Team Leader (Night Shift) to lead a team of Production Maintenance Technicians and Electricians, delivering reliable engineering support to Manufacturing and Assembly Operations.

The role focuses on equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and developing the engineering team, with emphasis on safety, GMP, and collaboration across departments to meet production priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance/engineering teams in cosmetics/pharma/manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to drive performance, coaching, and attendance management.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, health & safety, and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians and Electricians, managing performance, attendance, training, and capability development.
• Ensure equipment is maintained throughout its lifecycle, driving preventative maintenance and reducing downtime.
• Provide responsive engineering support to Manufacturing and Assembly Operations, aligning priorities with customer needs.
• Drive continuous improvement, LEAN initiatives, waste reduction, equipment enhancements, and projects improving performance.
• Support site KPI delivery by maintaining high standards of safety, quality, GMP compliance, and engineering excellence.
• Build strong cross-department relationships and promote a proactive, customer-focused engineering culture.
