Job summary

Whitworths Limited is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to coordinate the shift engineering team on our UK manufacturing site. You will ensure safety, reliability and efficiency, leading by example and driving improvements on equipment and processes.

You will be hands-on on the factory floor, manage workload and develop your team through regular feedback and performance reviews, fostering strong site relationships to deliver a responsive engineering service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fully qualified maintenance professional in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, controls and instrumentation.
• Sound electrical fault-finding and general maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organise and support the shift engineering team.
• Respond decisively to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Deliver the planned preventive maintenance programme.
• Identify recurring faults and implement lasting improvements.
• Coordinate with operations to plan repairs around production needs.
• Ensure health and safety, and maintain safe systems of work.
