Job summary

CMD Recruitment invites applications for an EDM / CNC Deputy Supervisor (Nights) in Devizes. You will lead the night shift, oversee EDM machinery, and ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are met on a hands-on basis.

The ideal candidate has supervisory or team leadership experience in a CNC/ EDM or precision engineering environment and can manage production issues independently during night hours.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing/engineering setting.
• Extensive experience setting and operating CNC machinery as a skilled machinist.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques (5S, Kanban, Kaizen) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the night shift and manage production, ensuring targets, quality and safety standards are met.
• Set, operate and maintain EDM machinery used to manufacture precision components.
• Identify and resolve production issues during the night shift with minimal supervision.
