Job summary

Ev Tech Recruit is recruiting on behalf of our client in Eastbourne for a Night Shift Vehicle Technician in a workshop-based environment. The role focuses on diesel commercial vehicles up to 44 tonnes, with around 95% of work on diesel and some petrol/hybrid/electric when required.

The successful candidate will ideally hold an automotive qualification and, preferably, an IMI Level 3 EV qualification; overtime is available and a basic salary of £48,000+ is offered depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on vehicle technician experience.
• Experience with commercial vehicles up to 44 tonnes.
• IMI Level 3 EV qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles up to 44 tonnes.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
• Ensure safety and quality of work.
• Work on diesel as primary, with petrol/hybrid/electric when required.
