Job summary

Co-op Group is seeking a Customer Team Leader for a part-time night shift role at our Cheshunt store. You will lead a small team from 10pm to 6am, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

This role includes potential involvement with the post office or bakery, depending on store needs. You’ll be responsible for team coaching, stock control, merchandising, and promoting Co-op membership while supporting daily operations and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and in our in-store bakery, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
