Job summary

Thorn Baker Group is recruiting for Night Shift Production Operatives to join a leading UK manufacturer of pre-cast concrete products in Alfreton. The role is a full-time night shift, Sunday to Thursday, with ongoing temp-to-perm opportunities and weekly pay.

Salary is £16.99 per hour (including a bonus) with overtime from £24.13 per hour. Training and development are provided, and the company is a well-established national manufacturing business offering long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or manufacturing roles, especially in concrete or heavy industrial environments.
• Comfort with reading production drawings and using hand/power tools.
• Willingness to work nights and undertake manual handling as required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture pre-cast concrete products to production targets.
• Prepare, fill and finish concrete moulds.
• Operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to finish concrete products.
• Fit steel reinforcement and metal components when required.
• Carry out quality inspections to ensure specifications.
• Read production drawings and work instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Support colleagues across production and yard as needed.
