Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a Setter Operator for the night shift to produce components to drawing tolerances within the quality specifications. You will be skilled in machining processes, read drawings, select tooling, and prove out programs to ensure production targets are met.

The role requires experience in CNC Turn/Mill and Milling setups, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team or independently. Safety and Lean principles are valued.

Qualifications

• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Set up tooling and holding devices from tool sheets.
• Set to the setup sheets and feedback amendments as required.
• Prove out proven/unproven programs.
• Manufacture to correct drawing specifications.
• Carry out own 1st off inspection.
• Complete feedback tickets of set and run times.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Select tooling and holding devices from tool sheets.
• Set to the setup sheets and implement amendments.
• Prove out programs (proven or unproven).
• Manufacture to drawing specifications and quality standards.
• Perform first-off inspection and document results.
• Maintain production targets and OEE data.
• Ensure quality documentation is complete and accurate.
• Liaise with Production Engineers to maximise productivity.
