Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator (Milling) on permanent night shifts in Wolverhampton. You will be responsible for full programming, setup and operation of CNC milling machines to produce components to exact specifications.

We are seeking candidates with strong CNC programming and setting experience, plus an excellent grasp of engineering drawings and tolerances. A proactive team player ready for night work is ideal.

Qualifications

• Strong experience programming and setting CNC milling machines.
• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience with a range of materials in a precision environment.
• Proficient in maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Team player with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
• Willingness to work permanent night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machines from engineering drawings.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all machining operations.
• Read and interpret cutting patterns to maximise material use and minimise waste.
• Handle all products safely to avoid damage or health & safety risks.
• Maintain accurate records using computer-based stock control systems.
• Clearly identify stock and finished products to customer and internal standards.
• Support training and development of other operatives when required.
