Job summary

Syntech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Miller - Setter/Operator for a night shift near Ascot, Berkshire. Set and operate Mazak or Fanuc controlled CNC mills to produce precision components from engineering drawings.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience, ability to manage multiple machines, read drawings, and maintain quality. Salary up to £48,500 with nights 5pm-4am, 25 days holiday and pension.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Miller / Setter / Operator.
• Confident setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Comfortable managing workload across more than one machine.
• Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with Mazak or Fanuc controls is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Work from detailed engineering drawings and job packs.
• Run multiple machines simultaneously where required.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and repeatability.
• Carry out basic checks and adjustments to ensure parts meet specification.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working area.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met.
