Job summary

First Base Employment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator to join a precision engineering environment in Poole, operating on a nightshift. You will set and run CNC machines, read drawings, and inspect parts to tight tolerances, ensuring quality throughout production.

Experience with FANUC-controlled equipment and aerospace/precision engineering backgrounds is highly valued. The role requires independence and a strong commitment to 5S/5C principles on night shift.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC mill/turn machinery.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Background in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC mill/turn lathe machines.
• Working with FANUC control systems to manufacture precision components.
• Producing components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Carrying out in-process inspections and checking own work against SPC requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Ensuring machinery and working areas are maintained in line with 5S/5C principles.
• Working independently to meet production requirements throughout the nightshift.
