Job summary

Robert Dyas is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver for night shifts at the Hemel Hempstead Distribution Centre. The role focuses on safe and timely deliveries, keeping accurate logs, and adhering to safety procedures.

You will operate a Class 2 vehicle, use tail lifts for kerbside deliveries, perform pre- and post-trip checks, and maintain delivery records while communicating with the team. A valid licence and multi-drop experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence.
• Minimum 2 years' experience driving Class 2 HGVs.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Ability to read and follow GPS and navigation systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Physically fit for handling heavy loads.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries, including kerbside with a tail lift.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle.
• Deliver and collect goods, including using a tail lift for kerbside deliveries.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and post-trip vehicle checks.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
• Communicate effectively with the team and report any issues promptly.
• Handle goods with care and secure them properly using best practice procedures.
