Job summary

Winner Recruitment (BIRMINGHAM) LTD is seeking a Night Shift Class 1 Shunter Driver to move trailers safely around the yard, ensuring correct positioning for loading and dispatch. You will perform vehicle checks, follow site procedures, and uphold high health and safety standards throughout the shift.

The role requires excellent awareness and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with warehouse and transport teams, with temp-to-perm opportunities and weekly pay

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• No points on licence.
• Previous experience as a Class 1 Driver is essential.
• Previous shunter driving experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual with good communication.
• Flexible approach to shifts and duties and able to follow health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Job description

A day in the life of a NIGHT SHIFT Class 1 Shunter Driver will involve moving trailers safely and efficiently around the yard, ensuring vehicles are positioned correctly for loading and dispatch. You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle checks, following site procedures, and maintaining high health and safety standards at all times.

The role requires excellent awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. You will work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.

The warehouse has a welcoming and supportive environment, with management available to assist whenever needed. All colleagues work together with a collaborative approach to achieve the same goal.

Work location

LE10 3FF – Hinckley

Shift Pattern

• Start times between 4:00PM and 6:00PM (NIGHT SHIFT)
• Weekend availability required

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
