Job summary

Baxterstorey in Runcorn is seeking a reliable Night Catering Assistant to support food prep, service and cleanup during night shifts. You will help with station setup, plating, and equipment handling while maintaining high hygiene standards.

The role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and teamwork to ensure exceptional service is delivered during late hours. Prior catering or hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation, catering or hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Able to work efficiently during night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation following recipes and safety guidelines.
• Set up and break down catering stations and serving areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage areas, and work surfaces during shift.
• Assist with plating and presentation of food items for service.
• Load, unload and organize catering equipment and supplies.
• Support serving food and beverages to clients or guests.
• Perform dishwashing and sanitization of equipment and utensils.
• Monitor food storage and assist with inventory management.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Respond to requests from senior staff and adapt to priorities.
• Assist with basic food storage and labeling procedures.
