Job summary

Baxter Storey is seeking a reliable Night Catering Assistant for shifts in Runcorn, United Kingdom. You will support food prep, service, and kitchen cleanup, while keeping a clean and organized workplace and assisting the catering team to deliver high-quality service.

The role requires focus during night hours, strong organizational and teamwork skills, and adherence to food safety standards. 35-hour weekly schedule and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation, catering, or hospitality (preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently during night shifts and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing demands
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and food handling practices (preferred)
• Customer service experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and food safety guidelines
• Support the setup and breakdown of catering stations and serving areas
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, storage areas, and work surfaces throughout the shift
• Assist with plating and presentation of food items for service
• Help load, unload, and organize catering equipment and supplies
• Support the catering team in serving food and beverages to clients or guests
• Perform dishwashing and sanitization of kitchen equipment and utensils
• Monitor food storage and assist with inventory management
• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols consistently
• Respond promptly to requests from senior catering staff and adapt to changing priorities
• Assist with basic food storage and labeling procedures
