Job summary

University of the Arts London is seeking an Out of Hours Concierge Assistant with a security background to join Accommodation Services, supporting residents and the wider university community. The role covers a 4 on, 4 off shift rotation from 20:00 to 08:00 across 12 halls, delivering front-of-house service, safety oversight and first point of contact.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor Level 2 accreditation.
• Demonstrable security experience and mail handling operations.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, COSHH, and mental health awareness.
• Good communication and ability to work independently.
• Practical low-level maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and internal/external patrols.
• Support post and parcel handling and mail operations.
• Maintain a safe, customer-focused front-of-house environment.
• Assist with maintenance tasks and security of premises.
• Provide guidance to residents and guests during shifts.
