Job summary

Crimson Hotels’ The Trafalgar St. James London, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a vigilant Security professional to safeguard guests and staff. You will monitor CCTV and alarms, conduct patrols, manage access control, and respond to incidents with urgency and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Reliable, proactive and professional individual with strong communication skills.
• Previous experience in hotel security is appreciated.
• Knowledge of CCTV and access control systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular security patrols and monitor CCTV, alarms and access control systems.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, visitors and contractors.
• Investigate and report suspicious activities, security breaches and incidents.
• Take ownership of life safety emergencies, including fire alarms, evacuations and building-related incidents, liaising with the Night Duty Manager, Engineering team and emergency services.
• Carry out routine safety inspections, including fire safety equipment, emergency exits and first aid boxes.
• Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, inspection records and agency sign-in/out sheets.
• Manage high-value lost property in line with hotel procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a visible, approachable presence throughout the hotel.
• Ensure security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults.
• Use hotel communication systems, including email, DECT phones and HotSOS, to coordinate and report issues.
