CIS Security Ltd is seeking a Night Security Controller in London (W1T) to lead operations, deliver high-quality security services, and maintain exceptional customer relations. The role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and a high-performance culture within the security team.

You will manage CCTV and access control, respond to incidents, and ensure adherence to procedures while supporting colleagues and driving service improvements.

Qualifications

• SIA CCTV Licence required.
• SIA Licence (DS or SG) required.
• Corporate CCTV security experience required.
• Excellent PC skills and Microsoft knowledge required.
• Experience in a high-pressure environment
• Strong understanding of access control & CCTV systems

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery
• Ensure security personnel adhere to duties and site policies
• Monitor CCTV cameras in the Security Control Room
• Collate and view CCTV images for incident management
• Maintain Security Control Room equipment and cleanliness
• Monitor and operate security technologies (intruder alarms, access control, BMS, fire alarm, lifts)
• Respond to life-safety incidents and coordinate appropriate actions
• Inspect equipment for faults and report issues
• Maintain daily electronic occurrence logs (via Zinc)
• Maintain Zinc system, track assets and patrols, report discrepancies
• Prepare site access passes and manage lost & found
• Register all security team members at shift start
• Report incidents to Control Supervisor or Duty Security Manager
• Respond to incidents per policies and procedures
• Investigate and record incidents; support during incidents
• Cover for the Control Supervisor when absent
• Perform other reasonable duties as required

This is an active and visible role requiring strong leadership competence in addition to entrepreneurial ability. Customer interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required.

• Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour
• Hours: Average 42 hours per week
• Shifts: 4 on 4 off - Nights

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage outstanding customer service delivery
• Ensure that all security personnel always adhere to their duties and policies and procedures of the site, Carrying out patrols and checks of the teams on position, reporting any breach of these to the Control Supervisor.
• To monitor the CCTV cameras within the Security Control Room
• Arrange for the collation and viewing of CCTV images in response to incident management, in line with the CCTV Code of Practice.
• Prepare and maintain the Security Control Room equipment for operational use and the Security Control Room is kept tidy.
• To monitor, operate and report all Security Control Room technologies (intruder alarms, access control systems, BMS, fire alarm system, lift intercoms, lift monitoring stations)
• To be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly as illustrated in the Assignment Instructions including investigating/Carrying out seek and search into fire alarm activations and response to calls for assistance.
• Inspect equipment for failures and faults, reporting these in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate daily electronic occurrence log records (via Zinc)
• Maintain the Zinc system, ensuring all assets are accounted for, all patrols are completed, and all compliance checks are completed - Reporting any discrepancies on the Zinc system to your Control Supervisor
• Producing site access control passes
• Responsible for the administration of lost & found property
• Book on all members of the security team correctly at the start of each shift
• Report any issues or incidents to the Control Supervisor or Duty Security Manager
• Respond to all incidents in line with policies and procedures
• Ensure all incidents and issues are formally investigated and recorded
• Provide effective support during incidents and lead incident response in the Control Supervisor's absence both inside the control room and out
• To cover for the Control Supervisor in any instance of absence or leave and assume their duties.
• Any other reasonable request from your line manager and client including static duties, standing on post, moving and storing of barriers or equipment and response to incidents.
