Job summary

Purosearch Ltd. in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Out-of-Hours RVN to join a busy overnight team. You will deliver high-quality care, triage emergencies, support anesthesia and care for inpatients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires ECC/emergency nursing experience, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A collaborative team, modern facilities, CPD opportunities, and a generous benefits package are on offer.

Qualifications

• Qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).
• ECC, emergency nursing, or first opinion practice experience.
• Anaesthesia and inpatient care.
• Excellent patient care and clinical nursing skills.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Emergency triage and critical care nursing.
• Monitoring and caring for hospitalised inpatients.
• Anaesthesia support and perioperative care.
• Assisting veterinary surgeons with emergency procedures.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical standards.
• Delivering compassionate care to patients and clients during out-of-hours periods.
