Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit Specific Certification such as ACLS or PALS as required.
• BSN degree from an accredited institution (BSN will be verified).
• RSNs hired or promoted into this role must obtain BSN within four years of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical expertise on the night shift.
• Coordinate unit resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Support staff and model professional behavior and nursing competency.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans with patient/family involvement.
• Direct and coordinate the interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure timely documentation and compliance with licensure provisions.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust plans of care as needed.
• Mentor and coach staff to promote accountability and professional growth.
• Activate chain of command and code alerts when appropriate.
