Job summary

The John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Supermarket Assistant in Lancashire to join Waitrose & Partners and John Lewis operations. You will provide Partner-led service, help keep shelves stocked, and fulfill online orders for delivery to customers.

You will work varied hours across seven days, including late shifts (21:30–07:30), with a focus on food passion and building customer trust. DBS checks may be required during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and teamwork with customers.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is welcome.
• Interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible to support branch needs.
• Part-time availability of 27.75 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly stocked.
• Fulfilling online orders for driver delivery.
• Reduce wastage through product due diligence and date-based markdowns.
• Support wider team including checkout, Click & Collect, and other orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
