Job summary

Skycare in Birkenhead is recruiting Registered General Nurses for our 82-bed Woodchurch and Birkenhead homes. We offer full-time roles with day and night 12-hour shifts and paid breaks.

You will provide personalised dementia care, promote dignity and choice, and contribute to a supportive team. Induction training is provided, with opportunities for development and career progression. You will dispense medications, maintain records, and lead junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK NMC registration (RGN/RMN) and current PIN.
• Experience in care home setting for older people.
• Clear DBS and two satisfactory references.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Excellent communication and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and administer medication as prescribed.
• Manage stock and orders for residents' medications.
• Maintain Health and Safety, COSHH, and care standards.

Registered General Nurse

Night shifts available.

Registered nurse for our Nursing Home with 82 beds, situated in Woodchurch, CH49 and another in Birkenhead, CH64, in both homes the caring and committed team supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised nursing dementia care.

Location: Birkenhead area, CH49

We are currently looking to recruit Registered Nurses with a passion for providing exceptional, kind, personilized care that promotes choice, dignity and respect.

We have full time ,day and night shifts available

Night shifts, 12-hour shift, 8pm-8am

Pay rate is £18.50- £20 per hour

About You

• An RGN or RMN, with experience in a care home setting caring for older people.
• You will have a kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of care and support for the residents.
• You will have excellent communication skills
• You will work well within the team, leading, supporting and training junior staff members,
• You will have previous experience in motivating the team.
• You must have a UK Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN)
• Active UK NMC PIN without restrictions
• Clear DBS And 2 satisfactory references
• Right to work in the UK

Here's some of your tasks

• You will dispense and administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records
• You will carry out stock control and ordering of residents prescribed medication and medical products
• You'll need to understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health and Safety, COSHH, and all aspects of the care Standards Act.
